Low Vitamin D Levels Tied to Risk of Cardiovascular Disease

A recent meta-analysis found that low vitamin D level was associated with 34% higher risk of cardiovascular disease incidence and a 86% higher risk of recurrent cardiovascular disease. Their results showed that each 10 ng/ml increase in vitamin D was associated with 6% lower risk of non-fatal cardiovascular disease incidence.
